From: "PJ Gaenir" Date: Sun Nov 10, 2002 11:01 pm Subject: Shocking Targets dennanm Offline Offline Send Email Send Email I was too ill and/or busy to talk about this sooner, but I wanted to mention something. I had an ultra-brief session several nights ago in which very little got written down. So on paper it's really pretty dull. But experientially, it was shocking. The target was a rescue in the rubble of the OK City bombing. In the session, I was in the middle of an ideogram when a bomb went off "inside me". It was so weird I actually thought it was "my" experience -- I often have to 'go back' and write something down that was data but, because it came "through" me, I forgot to consider it -- as if, I didn't hear 'myself' as I was too busy waiting 'for the target info' LOL. Shows you how much I am used to 'ignoring myself and focusing instead of what I am doing'. The "percussive" quality of it -- the SOUND -- was the primary data I got. Scared the hell out of me! It reminded me of what some people were saying about "gunshot" sounds sometimes. This was like that, kind of -- inside me and immensely "startling." The secondary data that came with that was one of "energy". I actually felt ("internal kinesthetics" I've always called it when you "feel something inside you") a sense like this rocketing energy going straight up into the sky. As if, a film camera would not show this part; but some other kind of light-camera might show this immense 'energy burst' going up into the sky, unimpended by physical mass. It was disconcerting. I don't know if all bomb targets have that effect, or just that one. It's the first and so far only bomb target I've gotten. In any case, it was so.... IMPACTIVE. Perhaps that would have been a good session to continue, but immediately after that my body started twitching all over. I was really sleepy and slightly sick still so I thought it was just "me" -- and it was, of course, but it was me reacting to the nature of the target. (This is your brain on RV!) We talk about belief systems sometimes but I wonder how affected the psychology must be by being aimed at tragedies and shocks. I wonder if all such targets are that impactive? If so I cannot imagine why ARV would be difficult -- especially with deliberately chosen decoys that are primary gestalts -- I mean, there would be no mistaking a bomb target for anything else I think. Maybe it was just 'luck' that I got that degree of impact from it. PJ Reply | Forward

(This is your brain on RV!) LOL! There have been quite a number of times that in a session I managed to convince myself 'logically' that some sensation was probably not target related because of some reason. But later perusing of the logic revealed how unlogical the asumption was. Like the time I smelled popcorn, I was thinking that someone must be cooking popcorn. Well my parents in the house next door never cook popcorn and don't have any (and I checked to make sure), and the next closest house is like 2 blocks away because we live in the country. There is just no way. We have never smelled anything they have cooked. But it all seemed so 'logical' at the time. LOL! -E pjrv : Messages : 1216-1224 of 4038

When I first started practicing with a taerget pool, I had included some high impact targets ( a-bombs, jet engine afterburners, bottom of the Mariannas Trench, the sun, etc). None of these targets gave any exceptional data compared to the typical landscape targets. I never got any explanations on why they did not stand out, nor hear of anyone else using such targets in their pools and what results they had with them. I would think that RV instructors would use them regularly.......... ... but maybe they don't want to scare our subs right from the getgo. :) Rich Reply | Forward

Yeah, very good.. a full bodied experience (is what I call it),I mean it seemed to bother you but that happens, after a while I think you develop a thicker skin sorta speak, maybe it's just getting used to it, events and effects don't startle you so. Then again there will forever be surprises or taken off guard in sessions IMO, no matter how long you've been at it. It always shocks me that some things still shock me. ""percussive" quality of it -- the SOUND", yes! i've been after the right words for years, I experience it in sessions, but i've always called it etheric deafening or etheric concussions, a concussed feeling. Also if you had been privately tasked you could have been brought in before or after the event, which is a way I would task it.. but I would never task it. I feel there are some things we just never have to experience. On one of the old RV boards, Farsight I think it was, years back they were tasking or practicing on serial murders, Dalmer I think it was.. and gas chambers.. yuck, not my cup of tea. But all in all everything for a reason, so I guess you were meant to experience or embrace it, everything for good reason or learning IMO. gunshots in session.. I recall one story from one of the old guard, he was tasked on Lincolns assignation, and when the gun fired, he instinctively jumped over to block or stop the bullet from the president, the commander in chief.. the same action or reaction as he would have done/had in real life or current time. Dunno how I would have reacted, I mean I don't think my session would have gone that route.. with my attraction to/for "dead people" I think I would have hitched a ride along his or the transcending (death/roll out/seperation) event. Different viewers react differently to different tgts, different personalities, different lifestyle and cultural backgrounds, and religious considerations. Tgts can impact, much more than your aware of (I always feel the tasker has a huge responsibility). A target can impact you, and it can linger for 24-48 hours in some cases, you can still get(know) bits and pieces of data, it will still come in, hard to shake it off, even at night, asleep you can still 'work' the tgt. I've had that happen on many occasion. Mars was one that bugged at me.. I mean I liked it. It was a mind boggling learning experience. When I just closed my eyes to go to sleep, I was 'back' there in a nano second, pretty cool phenomena, I think I could "let go" easier at night and tired, not so controlling(protocol), as Mars has some really really weird feeling energy, beyond my comprehension. all the best ~~Terri
