From my personal selfish perspective... I far prefer this more closed personalized setting of RV Oasis...and am sorry to see it go...I do not find these topics as well discussed ....or as openly...anywhere else on the net...sans dogma...and there are no predators here...as far as I know anyway...I loved this list...I hate to see it go for one... This was a comfortable...homey place for me...and a true oasis...Not many sites can claim that...Especially RV sites... PS...Plus my ISP may well go down soon and I will not have much access to the internet...but still do with email...soo...TTR is not an option for me in the near future...I wish you the best in whatever you choose to do... From: "pjgaenir" Date: Fri Aug 22, 2003 11:37 pm Subject: List Business pjgaenir Offline Offline Send Email Send Email Invite to Yahoo! 360 Invite to Yahoo! 360 Hi you guys, I have been considering closing pjrv. When I opened this, it was surely with the idea I would have time to participate in it. I have had no time for a long time, and it isn't looking good for the nearby future. Even when others participate without me, I forget to approve the darn messages, which kills most conversation. But since I archive this list I don't want to open it up without moderation. There are other lists for that. And I don't want to bother having a list without archiving, as I feel documentation, even of just talk, is critically important for this field, moreso than we may realize right now. I have been spending basically ALL my free time that isn't work, at the Ten Thousand Roads Remote Viewing Message Board Complex (is that a mouthful! -- "TKR" for short), either posting, or working on code. Some of things I've talked about here previously, like some website utilities that would allow tasking and session uploads and double blind work and several other things, are the next module (the "Galleries" module) going online at TKR. I haven't had much time for anything, anyone, or anywhere else. Aside from really hacking off a couple friends, it's also I imagine making people on my list wonder what I'm up to. Now, I have some dilemmas, such as: 1. I have an interview (part 1 of 2) with Ed May that is ready to post... if I'd just do it. I really wanted to get the second part first, but had decided to post what I had, but then... 2. I have an interview with Mel Riley that is ready to post... if I'd just do the transcribing and so forth. 3. I have lots of good questions from the list and via pem for Bill Ray, who graciously agreed to a pjrv interview... if I'd just put it together. 4. I am now 9 months behind on archiving the list. I am getting more than a little passive-aggressive in several ways lately, this is just one, but this is a real obvious one. I don't know what's up with that and I am frustrated with myself; my time is limited and rather than having 'logical' priorities, I have the priority of 'what I feel like doing with this 10 minutes of time', which is pretty inconsistent and means I mostly do whatever 'sparks' me at a given moment, rather than what ought to be done. This list, and several cool things I wanted to do with it, has paid the price. It has occurred to me that I might reconsider a suggestion someone made previously, that I find a way to incorporate TKR into the interviews so that a few others not on the list could ask questions, and so perhaps the interviews would get slightly wider distribution (although to be fair, the firedocs RV website has a pretty good visitor base). But I feel like, it's pjrv people who have put into the good archives we do have, and will have, and it's the quality of the group here that facilitates that--so in a way, I feel like you guys deserve to be the ones asking the questions, as opposed to letting everyone in the world who might happen to stop by a public message board have a say. So it seems unfair to 'take it from' the pjrv list. I am not really sure about anything right now. I am posting this because it's all your list too and so you're the ones I ought to be talking with about it. I think I would like to close pjrv and tell people they can find me at TKR if they want to talk. Most people visit this list through the web instead of through email anyway, so the fact TKR's a web message board, not an email group, shouldn't matter too much. On the other hand, I enjoy having this outlet, and you guys have been good to me, and good participants. I feel like it isn't really fair of me to be some autocrat that decides I'm busy and so just offs the list. But as you might notice, it does not have many signs of life anyway! Anyway. Any thoughts are welcome. PJ Reply | Forward

It amazes me that you can find the time to do all you do anyway. How on earth you manage to write so many carefully thought out and often quite long mails on a constant basis, for what seems almost like 24/7....when it takes me all day to compose a few short ones (if that), is almost as much of a mystery to me as RV itself . ;-). Personally I don't want to see you collapse in a quivering wreck because of trying to do too much and worrying about it too. Close the list PJ, I'm sure the majority will understand. You sound like you're tying to coach two Little League teams at the same time. That's noble, but what do you do when your two respective teams play each other? You can't be in two places at once (well, I guess that's not true, considering bi-location, but you know what I mean ;-). Bad analogy. What I'm saying is that you're spreading yourself too thin with two forums that are virtually the same thing. I imagine most of the people on PJRV have joined TKR anyway. I've been too pre-occupied with a few things to join TKR, but I'll get around to it one of these days. I haven't been active with PJRV or FV much lately because I've been busy with both a big project I somehow got involved with that has consumed most of my time, and I started HRVG online training a while back. For a couple of weeks I didn't even have time to do my HRVG training targets. PJ, you sound burned out! You're the brain-child of and an integral part of TKR, so drop PJRV, incorporate those interviews into TKR somehow, and you'll have more time to spend with that adorable little girl of yours. We got to ask the questions right! ;-) I would assume that eventually after we had our quiet time with them, then you would post a link to them on TKR anyway. Oh and btw, one doesn't need to join to read stuff from tenthousandroads.com THere's currently a really interesting thread on masking and entrainment in the rv section of the board that's worth checking out for anyone who has the time. It actually has some new ideas about rv methods. I know, That's hard to believe! You can just go there and read. But in order to post, you will have to fill out a really short thingy including picking a posting name or alias. -E Reply | Forward

I'm not saying that patronizingly, I am truly amazed. My god, its a gigantic amount, plus you work and raise a child to boot. In any event I think whatever you decide is best I'm sure will be just fine and the right thing to boot. To me it makes sense to incorporate this site into the TKR in whatever manner you'd do that. I have experience with document creation and web, perhaps I can be of some assistance. Even those attempting to do all that stuff in one week could be overwhelming for me. These interviews shouldn't be lost. And perhaps a compilation book can be put together for a coffee table conversation piece. If this email communication process goes away, there may be some who are hesitant to post on a BB. There are so many ppl I have seen who grew up natural psychic like me with out guidance about what to do with those capabilities. Everyone of these ppl complains of being sooooooo lonely, wondering if anyone is out there with a safe location to discuss these things. All of these ppl are scared, sometimes because of past childhood experiences that haven't been positive...childhood friends who recognized that someone is different and traumatize and terrorize. It isn't just me PJ, we must help the others with everything we can give. I will assist if I can, if I may. Are there any others who will step up? gogogirl ------------------------ A nice offer, thanks. But I wasn't planning on losing or dropping the interviews--simply doing them under the auspices of TKR instead of RV Oasis. There are people who don't like BBS's. But then again, there are a whole lot of email discussion groups about remote viewing out there. -- PJ
