Thanks to all of you! This is a surprise. I didn't check the polls over the weekend, and the last time I did look at them, on Friday morning, I think, it seemed to me my haikus weren't in the running. So, thanks to everyone who voted for this haiku, and thanks to everyone who submitted an entry--it was a lot of fun. And, thanks especially to PJ for all the work and time involved. I wrote a couple of humorous ones, and then I remembered a target that I think Terri had posted somewhere once, having to do with a murder. Naive newbie that I am, I couldn't wait to do it. I was walking around for half a day feeling this other person's emotions on top of or off to the side of my own--it was very strange. I was very, very very, very careful of that tasking. It was for a close friend of mine, her sister and daughter were dead/Ohio. I was very aware of who was on my list. None of you not a one viewed the event or events I guess, which is what I wanted to avoid, and did. All anyone including Gene did was to describe a male(Truck/structure), and possibly his arm and tattoo. Not the event, not the energy, the experience the happening. One described a 'knife in hand' and I called it off stopped it right then and there.. the tgt. that was Dick... Dick that used to be on a Monroe list, he sniffed too close and I closed the target, y'all weren't ready for it, not the event anyway. I was looking for a descriptive.. there was a line up of 3 men. I didn't task that. I kept y'all away from the "event" which a good tasker can do IMO.. the fella is now in prison convicted of I think 8 murders. druggie transient. Yes if you homed in on to the fella himself it could be sickly and lingering.. but you avoided the gruesome event. Which was my intent. They had 3 fellas at the time in custody. All the best ~~Terri > Karl wrote: I wrote a couple of humorous ones, and then I remembered a target that I think Terri had posted somewhere once, having to do with a murder. You were very clear when you tasked this target that it wasn't a beginner-type target and that it might be disturbing. You did a good job of trying to warn people like me off, without frontloading. It was a good experience for me, seeing how strong emotions connected with a target can affect me. And if it had turned out to have been a bad experience for me, I'd have had only myself to blame. I'm glad I did it--thanks for providing the opportunity. I'm really glad the guy is off the streets. What I did pick up was not pretty. Karl
