I have a few and am experiencing all kinds of new things for the first time, just wanted to talk to someone about it. Thanks! I have a few and am > experiencing all kinds of new things for the first time, just > wanted to talk to someone about it. I've been using the freeflow Focus 12 CD a few times a day for several days now. I don't think that's in the Gateway -- the first set. Though I have the Wave series' up to VII, this is one of my favorites. I find that F12 seems to put me more in touch with my 'emotional self' -- or something along those lines. I've been doing some meditations related to psi and my psychology. (Generally archetype meditations, or some visualizations from some of Seth's writings.) I find that doing them with F12 in headphones helps me 'feel' them-- physically, emotionally, etc. and so makes them probably a lot more effective. I suspect F15 might be better but I don't have a CD for that (that I know of/that says that, anyway). And in the morning I sleep through it LOL though I'm supposed to be meditating... I haven't had any OBE type experiences with it. I had a very cool OBE when at TMI once, and I had a kickass archetype med while at TMI, but thus far at home, I mostly just find them nice, as opposed to amazing (I think the group-energy of the TMI visits is a huge factor). So how's it going for you? You been using the CD's long? Did you do a gateway at TMIs? What's the experience on your end? I've been hoping that over time they'll help me get 'in state' a little better/quicker for doing RV. Regards, PJ Reply | Forward

Does anyone know what hemi-sync tapes might be most useful for a cooldown session and/or while conducting the session itself? I know that the Monroe Inst is offering, for the first time, a week-long RV session in August.Hopefully after that they will begin to produce hemi-sync tapes specifically for RV. Offline Offline Send Email Send Email Invite to Yahoo! 360 Invite to Yahoo! 360 Hey PJ Thanks for the reply. I am very new to RV, just starting to achieve "target contact" as my instructor puts it. Now projection/bilocation yet or for a long time I would think. But, lots of "wierdness" ie new experiences for sure. I have access to the entire Gateway collection, but only the CDs. I am using the gateway CDs as a tool to get my RV going. Toward that end, I just wondered what people thought of how I should approach the series. Although I have been having a good experience with it, so I am going to work through all the CDs if I can- theres about a dozen! TO answer your questions though... I just started using the CDs, I have ben RVing only for a few months, and I have no idea what OBE or TMI are...! Mainly I just wanted to chat with someone about thier experiences with hemi-sync when they first tried it. For instance, this afternoon I became so relaxed, I lost all physical feeling except for my lungs/breathing muscles, and my mouth. THAT was wierd. Tip of the iceberg, as I read things here. Any IRCers out there in west coast time? Let me know. Thanks for your input PJ! Eric Reply | Forward

From: "dennanm" Date: Fri Jul 19, 2002 12:54 am Subject: Hemi-sync; OBE's dennanm Offline Offline Send Email Send Email --- In pjrv...tuthill_engineer" For instance, this afternoon I became so relaxed, I lost all > physical feeling except for my lungs/breathing muscles, and my > mouth. THAT was wierd. For me that often precedes an out of body experience. It is the realization of the disassociation between my conscious mind and my body. Sometimes, 'parts' of me will remain associated and in-body, while parts of me can separate and go out. For example many people who begin with hemi-sync and start 'getting closer to' out of body experiences report that their ARM separated -- but not the rest of them. This often happens by accident; you space out, then you go to scratch or put your headphones back a bit or something, and it takes a minute to realize that your hand keeps not working... and you realize your hand is going through the phones and has separated from the physical. Hearing accounts of a lot of wandering arms while at the Monroe Institute, I once wondered to myself, "Well if the arm is the same degree-of-tangibility as the rest of their so-called astral-body, could they not then use that arm to "PRY" the rest of themselves out of body?!" And when a similar thing happened to me, I did that -- I put my out-of-body arm behind my head and literally pried the rest of myself forward out of my body. Worked quite well. The moment I did so, I found myself sitting on the edge of my CHEC unit (a bed with curtains around it). I was sitting where the curtain was but it was not there. To my left, nearly touching me, stood a woman maybe in her 50's, a little bit heavy, short, seemed to be latin or a south-american. To my right, where the closet had been, there was a river running through the room, except at the point where the river was, the room ceased to be room, and was open sky, and forest on the other other side of the river. There was a young man, like a teenager say 17 or so, with white hair, who was splashing up the river toward us, happily chasing a white bird. The bird and the young man splashed past us. OBE's (out of body experiences) are not always characterized by being quite so far into another reality. Often they are so similar to reality you don't even realize you are out of body unless you really pay attention. Perception seems to be on a sliding scale of frequency, and "where" we are seems to be more a state of mind than an issue of location. I had OBE's all my life, naturally though somewhat in cycles, and I thought this was normal for everybody. (I thought lucid dreams were also. I could put myself into those at will.) Around age 19 I read books about both lucid dreaming and out of body experiences, and promptly lost my ability to do them naturally. Something about the authors trying so hard to convince readers it was possible, had the reverse effect on me! I've had a lot of OBE experience in life though and much that was voluntary when younger, and most that was extremely conscious, sometimes nowhere near asleep, even when older. I have some theories about OBE stuff but they are mostly dull. :-) Dr. Charles T. Tart has some interesting articles on his website about some research done with Monroe Institute founder Robert Monroe, see http://www.paradigm-sys.com/cttart/ Regards, PJ Reply | Forward

Offline Offline Send Email Send Email Invite to Yahoo! 360 Invite to Yahoo! 360 PJ- I cannot thank you enough for that last tidbit- I am off to use that CD again RIGHT NOW! This list has been incredibly useful for me. Thank you for that. As far as RV goes (sticking to topic) I have had 2 good quality hits since using these CDs. The latter of these was a solid hit. I listened/meditated to a cd, then RV'd. My wife was even talking to me while I did it, making fun of me (lightly). She stopped when I showed her my results... heh heh. And I have only been RVing for 2 months thus far, maybe 15-20 targets total... So I think I may have found a good cocktail to kick start the RV, that being a mix of Hemi- sync and RV practice. Course, now I am cocky, so I chould dud the next 20 or so, right? Always feels like I am making it up, until I find out I nailed it.... Anyhow, off to pry myself out of my shell, hope I make it back! I've only listened to 3 sets of Monroe tapes andfound them to induce a very meditative state.. but IMHO astral trance was even more powerful in getting into a deep deep trance...if that's the goal.. Best Regards, Bill
